Riptopia lets you convert CDs into Digital Music

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Have you ever wished that you could play songs from your old CD collection on your iPod or MP3 Player? In a CD collection of only 50 CDs, there are 600 songs alone that you must download online to listen to now, usually with less quality than the CD version.

Now with music services from Riptopia you can convert your entire CD music collection into digital music. The process is straight forward. Just visit the Riptopia web site and let them know how many CDs you want to convert. Riptopia will then send you a customer kit including spindles to hold your CDs along with a protective padded, pre-paid UPS package to send back to them. After converting your CDs, Riptopia will return your new digital music library via UPS, along with your original CDs. Costs vary, but are less than the fees involved in downloading the same music online at a lesser quality.

2007 MTV Movie Awards - Gay Kisses, Gay Movies, Drunk Winners and Rehab: A Perfect Hollywood Evening

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

The 2007 MTV Move Awards was hosted by Sarah Silverman and featured stars such as Jessica Alba, Samuel L. Jackson, Robin Williams and others making presentations.

Sarah Silverman started the show offer by hammering Paris Hilton with jokes about prison and her sexual promiscuity as Paris sat in the audience dumbfounded as usual. And speaking of hammered, what was in that flask Jack Nicholson sat down before accepting his award for best villain? It appeared that Jack “departed” the awards show long before it officially started.

One of the funnier moments of the night came when Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen won for best kiss and couldn’t resist reliving the moment as they rolled around the floor in a long passionate man kiss. Not to be outdone for gayness, Gerard Butler and the movie 300 won for best fight. I hear the “The Uber Immortal” wasn’t present to accept his award because he’s currently touring as a roadie for Clay Aiken.

Lastly, with what can only be considered perfect irony, British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse performed her hit song “Rehab” for the celebrity filled audience. Only a cameo by Lindsay Lohan on backup vocals would have made for a more perfect evening.
